چکیده
Korku bencilce midir? Eğer korkunun tabiatında bencillik varsa korkmak ahlaki bir sorun mudur? Bu deneme yazısı, Srdan Golubovic’in Krugovi (2013) filminden yola çıkarak travmatik toplumsal olayların yarattığı korkuyla ilişkimizi merkeze alır. Şiddetin faili ya da mağduru olmadığımız vakalarda müdahale edememenin bizi her zaman faille eşitlemeyeceğini iddia eder. Üstelik yiğitliği, tanık olduğumuz olaylara edip edememe kabiliyetine indirgemenin tekil kahramanlar yaratma ve görmediklerimize dair yükümlülüklerimizi arka plana atma riski taşıyacağını savunur. Ancak yazı, bu iddiaların sıralanmasından önce başkasının hayatta kalmasına yönelik arzunun, alttaki değerlendirmeden azade, başka türlü şey olabileceğinin ihtimalini açık bırakarak başlar.
